About me

About me

Research Assistant at Texas Tech University

Teacher Assistant at College of Science in National Autonomous University of Mexico

Born Ñuu savi from the rain people

I grew up in the beautiful and chaotic Mexico City. I decided to major in Earth Sciences and specialized in Atmospheric Sciences because I have been always in love with the sky.

I worked on multiple research groups, from Micropaleontology to Experimental Fluid Dynamics, and I did my social service working on aerosols and cloud formation.

Driven by my passion for science, I continued my education at Texas Tech University, where I completed a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences and a Ph.D. in Geosciences.

I worked on characterizing dust storms and their impact on the public health of West Texas. I delved into Policy a few years ago, working on connecting relevant stakeholders to understand and reduce vulnerability during extreme weather events.

Oh, and did I tell you I am an actress and playwriter?

I have worked on two theater companies and led my own projects.

I started directing and producing plays in 2016 and my teams have presented in the 23rd, 24th and 25th editions of the International Festival of College Theater.
